After 18 years as an editor and manager in book publishing, I decided on a career change and embarked upon my training in psychotherapy. My qualifications are as follows: a degree in psychology from the University of Cambridge; a post-graduate certificate in healthcare management from Queen Mary University of London; and three post-graduate diplomas in a) transpersonal psychotherapy, b) clinical supervision, and c) couples/relationship therapy from the Centre for Counselling and Psychotherapy Education in London.
I work integratively, drawing on a range of psychological models including psychodynamic psychotherapy, humanistic and person-centred psychotherapy, existential psychotherapy, Gestalt therapy, transactional analysis, cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), and art therapy. Within this integrative and transpersonal approach, I also work with dreams, the creative imagination, bodily symptoms and signs, and role play.
I am registered with the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP), member number 2011162525, and I am a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), member number 627040. I abide by both their codes of professional conduct.
