My area of interest is supporting people with autoimmune conditions as well as peri & post menopause women. My clients are learning to trust their self-healing capability with my support and guidance.  You can learn more here.

As a Functional Medicine Practitioner, I take a naturopathic approach, focusing on identifying the root causes of health issues and guiding you towards holistic well-being through dietary changes, lifestyle adjustments and natural remedies.  Holistic means considering you as a whole, examining the interconnectedness of the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual aspects of your health.  To truly optimise our health and well-being we need to achieve balance in all of these areas.

About Me

It became apparent in 2012 that I was suffering with an autoimmune condition when my mum was diagnosed with cerebellar ataxia and I was exhibiting the same symptoms though much milder.  My own healing journey began in earnest then as well as my interest and initiation into Functional Medicine.  Autoimmunity begins before symptoms become noticeable so putting together all the pieces of the puzzle in a time-line, I realise that a combination of a diet heavy in processed food and refined sugar along with multiple courses of antibiotics during my teens set the scene for a perfect storm.  I have made significant improvements over the years and I’m still learning and growing.  There’s always more we can do.  It’s a journey and I feel stronger, more resilient and healthy enough to enjoy my journey.  I am passionate about supporting anyone with an autoimmune condition because I know how debilitating it can be.  I have so much to share…

I also love teaching women how to understand how their bodies function and how to optimise their health and wellbeing through diet and lifestyle changes.  I work on a 1:1 basis with clients and I also run a series of workshops throughout the year, each focused on a specific theme such as thyroid health, menopause, bone health and osteoporosis, stress and nervous system regulation, gut health and supporting immune function.

Alongside usually the same week I run cooking workshops to put into practice the dietary recommendations from the workshop theory.  These sessions are hands on rather than demonstrations.  We usually prepare 3-6 dishes, one per pair, and then sit down to enjoy the delicious food we’ve prepared as well as having an opportunity to ask questions and drill down a bit more into the theory.  Check out my website for more details and to read the testimonials https://www.traceyharpernutrition.co.uk/thyroid-health/ I support people with autoimmune conditions as well as peri & post menopause women.  Learning to trust their self healing capability, my clients are choosing a holistic and natural approach to their health & wellbeing through diet & lifestyle.  You can see me in person or via Zoom.

What's Functional Medicine?

Functional medicine provides a framework to systematically identify and address the underlying processes and dysfunctions that are causing imbalance and disease in each individual. By understanding a patient’s genetic, environmental, and lifestyle influences, functional medicine clinicians create personalized interventions that restore balance, health, and well-being.

Functional medicine treats the whole person, addressing the unique physical, mental, and emotional needs of each patient. Clinicians bring together the entire complement of modern scientific tools, including a deep understanding of biology, physiology, genetics, social and environmental determinants of health, and the vital connection between mental and physical well-being. It is this combination of focusing on individual patients and applying a multi-faceted treatment path that delivers transformational results.
